We're in the middle of a political season and last night's debate reminded me of the date that happened almost 2,000 years ago concerning the gospel. In Acts 15 we read: "Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: 'Unless you are circumcised, ... you cannot be saved.' ... 'God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. ... Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? It is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved...' * Was and is the laying on of hands required to receive the Holy Spirit? * What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? * Do I talk to the Holy Spirit the same way I talk to the Father and to Jesus?
