The four promises of the New Covenant give us everything we need for life and godliness. We have life, assurance, forgiveness, and relationship. So what happens to the old? The New Covenant makes it obsolete. It's no longer needed. The Old Covenant was weak and useless in helping us reach a right-standing with God. It simply showed us our failures. Only through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ do we have hope. Jesus is a guarantor of these new promises. *Are there cautions for us that God's will for us calls us to be humble?
