What does it mean to participate in the Lord's Supper? Let's look at 1 Corinthians chapter 11 to see what Paul had to say. "In the following directives, I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good." Paul does on to say, "It is not the Lord's Supper that you eat... shall I commend you for this?" * vs. 27 " ... whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord." * What was Paul's answer to all of this? Wait upon one another. If you're hungry, eat at home. * What does it mean to participate in the Lord's Supper? It's to do this in remembrance of Jesus. It's about Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross, his burial, and his resurrection. * We belong to Christ and we belong to one another. * In the New Covenant, he remembers our sins no more.
