4-Letter Words: Lost

Jesus said that He came to seek and save that which was lost. People who don't know Jesus and are following their own way or the ways of the world are "lost", and Jesus wants to find them. While this truth can become a point of haughtiness for some Christians, Jesus would teach us instead to become humble and urgent, not proud and complacent. If people are lost, and hell is real, then we need to obey the commission of Jesus to go out into the world to seek the lost and point them in the direction of the one true, holy God.
