The Great Commandment Mark 12:28-34A well-intentioned scribe approaches Jesus and asks, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” (Mark 12:28). Jesus points to our love for God and love for others as being the greatest commandments for us to follow. When the scribe agrees, Jesus tells him that he is, “not far from the kingdom of God” (Mark 12:34). As followers of Christ, we recognize we are commanded to love well, and seek his help when we find it difficult to do so. 1. The question/questioner (v. 28)2. Jesus’ answer (vs. 29-31) a.
