Not everybody responded with enthusiasm to Jesus’ increasing popularity. His earthly family thought him crazy and sought to discourage his work, and scribes had begun to come down from Jerusalem to openly challenge him. Despite the opposition, Jesus remains steadfast in his commitment to do the will of his father. We too should expect opposition and must remain committed even when those closest to us turn.1.
