His People Set Apart Exodus 8:20-9:12Though Pharaoh’s heart remains hard, God continues to bring plagues so that Pharaoh “may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth” (Ex.8:22b), but as God increases the severity of the plagues, he begins to make a distinction between the Israelites and Egyptians. While not always visibly apparent, through Christ we have been made distinct from all peoples for we no longer live under the power of death.1. God Makes a Distinction (vs. 20-32)2.
