A Praying Church: Hands Extended

Several years ago, Pastor Rick Warren wrote a book called The Purpose Driven Life. The first sentence of the book states, "Its not about you." The first thing that this book addresses is our selfishness which can also reveal itself in our prayers. Let me remind you of our new vision here at Southeast, "To be a praying church who reaches out and challenges everyone to follow Jesus completely." We have been looking at how the early church prayed, and over the past two weeks we have learned that we can pray with our eyes open and our knees bowed. Today we are going to see that we can have extended hands in prayer.
