Isaiah cries out to the Lord to be gracious to Judah in their time of trouble. There will come a time when the Lord will interject Himself in the affairs of nations, specifically in the middle east. But, Judah looks to other nations for help in their fight against Assyria. They still don’t realize that it’s the goodness of God that keeps the enemy back.
