In week 4 of Let Hope In, Pastor Pete Wilson touches on the subject of forgiveness. This is one of the hardest area for most of us. We tend not to want to let go and we tend to feel like some people do not deserve our forgiveness. But when God has forgiven us of all of our sins, what right do we have not to show the same to others? If God can forgive us of so much, why can we not forgive others for so little? The truth is, not forgiving others only hurts us. Sometimes you forgive people not for their sake, but for your own freedom. We need to choose to free people instead of hurting them.
