Christ in You, The Hope of Glory

When Moses asked God, “Show me your glory.” God answered by showing up. He put Moses in the crevice of a rock, and then passed by. God showed his glory by making his presence known. From his presence, he revealed to Moses his essence. Listen to what God said as he passed by. “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Moses experienced the presence of God, and through that learned the essence of God. It is the same for us. God made his presence known to us in Christ. As Paul wrote, Christ in you, the hope of glory. And through Christ, we learn what God is really like. That God is love.
