Don’t Be Afraid

Earlier this year I visited Nazareth. I spoke in a Synagogue much like the one where Jesus delivered his first sermon. And I toured the Church of the Annunciation. Now this is the place that commemorates the story of the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would bear a son named Jesus. Listen to his words. “Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God.” Did you know the same is true for you? There is nothing for you to fear, because you too have found favor with God Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection boldly announces this good news. That the blessings of God are yours in abundance. That He is with you and has given you new life, forgiveness and freedom, by grace through faith in Jesus.
