On our last episode we touched base on the more positive aspects of culture, but on today’s podcast we are going over the more negative side. Take aways for leaders:One huge enemy of culture we believe to be is negativity. When it comes to leadership, you will always run into expectation gaps. You can choose to fill the gap with suspicion or you can choose to fill them with trust. We should always choose to fill the gap with trust because where there is trust, there is less negativity. Remember that with every problem you face you do not bring negativity, instead you bring solutions. We’re always going to write stories in our heads, but with having an open door policy, it allows stories to end a lot sooner than they may have. An enemy of a good culture is a fast growing organization. The faster the organization grows, the faster the teams grow. The bigger the team, the more responsibility it is to maintain a healthy culture. Realize that it is harder to get back a healthy culture than it is to keep it. We want to make sure that what we are reproducing is something that we want to be a part of.We need to choose culture over preference. One huge enemy of culture would be celebrations. If your teams do not celebrate it may be because of a lack of thankfulness and gratitude on what God is doing. Quotes“I think culture is more important than anything but Jesus in the church world, or in the organizational world.” - Joshua Gagnon “A broken culture will never lead to a healthy organization.” - Joshua Gagnon“We don’t want to be a people of excuses.” - Joshua Gagnon“We’ve all written books that will never be published. We didn't write them with our hands; we wrote them with our minds.” - Joshua Gagnon“Where there is trust, there is less negativity.” - Joshua Gagnon“The more we’re thankful for what God’s doing, the more we are going to celebrate.”- Joshua Gagnon
