Great leaders lead based on the situation and the person. One voice doesn’t speak to all, one style doesn’t communicate to everyone. Leadership is getting people from where they are from where they want to go. It’s not always leading a person differently, it’s most often leading a situation differently. Holding people accountable doesn’t mean we no longer show grace. Showing grace, however, doesn’t mean we no longer hold people accountable.A leader has to be well-rounded. You can’t be a great coach unless you love your players. When you lead out of insecurity you lead for yourself. When you leave out of security you lead for others. Quotes from this episode:“If the only tool you have is a hammer, you treat everything like a nail.”“It is easy to handle every situation the same if you only have one tool.”
