You can be focused on your mission and vision in order to still care and love the person with a pastor’s heart. When you become too leadership-focused, you create a culture where people feel like you are using them as a means to an end. Try to find opportunities to pastor the team you lead in the hopes that they will in turn pastor the people underneath them. We have to be shepherds first and foremost. In 1 Peter 5, Peter commands us to “Feed, tend, feed.” We tend to have the mindset of “Tend, feed, tend.”Focus more on spiritual health rather than leadership principles. Bless your leaders by gifting them things or reaching out to them personally.
