The longer you run away from a storm, the longer you’re in it. Leaders that choose to run from storms have to face the anxiety of the storm prior to living in it. One of the dangers of being a buffalo is that sometimes you run into storms too soon. Not everyone in the storm is a buffalo, so you have to remember that you may have some cows running the opposite direction away from the storm. Recognize that you might miss each other in the chaos of the storm. Cows that run from the storm are reactive, while buffalo that run toward the storm are more proactive. It’s not just about getting to the blue sky; it’s about getting to the blue sky healthy.
