Fear or Faith

Our subject for September is Prophecy. Recent events like the solar eclipse and the horrific hurricane along the Gulf Coast have reintroduced a line of thinking that surely these must be signs of God's punishment of the world. Time after time, "prophecy" is used to incite fear-based religious behavior. We will explore prophecy in light of the New Covenant this month. Jesus Christ has fulfilled all prophecy and we do not have to fear his return or look for "signs" of his return. We are already seated with him in the heavenlies.
