Get in The Game

All the seniors were gathered in the auditorium to decide the theme for the senior prom. Strawberry Fields Forever, that was my idea, my vision. And I was going to pitch it that morning. When I had the opportunity to speak, I froze. What if my friends hated my idea, or laughed at me. My friend Tom kept nudging me to stand and speak. I just sat there in silence, handcuffed by fear. It wasn’t a good day for me. Later on in life, I learned that perfect love casts out all fear. That it gives you the courage and freedom to get in the game instead of sitting on the sideline. Let me encourage you today to take a fresh look at the perfect love of God. It will help you punch your fears in the face and learn to truly live.
