Grace: The Only Explanation that Makes Sense

My phone lit up early that Saturday morning. It was a text message from my friend Howell’s daughter. “my dad is now with the Lord.” Just days before, I talked with Howell. We sat together at his kitchen table. All he talked about was the grace of God. Bob, he said, it’s the only explanation that makes sense. I just wish I could have spread it to more people and let them know about Jesus, the lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. The grace of God is the only explanation that makes sense. It’s the only message that enables a person to face death with courage and hope and joy and peace. That's what it did for my friend Howell. I hope it has done the same for you.
