Grounded in Truth

How do we grow in the grace of God? How do we stand firm and established in the truth? 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5 "Therefore when we could bear it no longer, we were willing to be left behind at Athens alone, 2 and we sent Timothy, our brother and God's coworker in the gospel of Christ, to establish and exhort you in your faith, ..." By grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone you become established in Him and grow in your Christian life. My adult son posed these questions: If God is all knowing, then doesn't he know who will follow him and who won't?And isn't this considered condemning us before we were even born?Why did he put us here, why not just put the ones he chose in heaven and the the others in hell?David asks about "passages like the one that says that if one commits particular sins then they are lost". Bob addresses 1 Corinthians 6:9-10Mark finds Paul's teaching to be in opposition of Jesus' teaching.
