How do we live a Sunday life in a Friday world? The world is not for us, it is against us. Our choice is to either live by the law (the way of the world) or by grace through faith in Jesus. The law simply diagnoses our spiritual problem, but it cannot provide the cure. That's Jesus's job. Law as a rule of life rests squarely on the shoulders of human effort. Now our life is to be lived by faith in Jesus. He will produce his life in and through us. The Sunday life is a life led by and empowered by the Spirit of God. (Chapter 13, page 97)
