About Ray Comfort

Ray Comfort is a New Zealand-born Christian minister and evangelist. Comfort started Living Waters Publications and The Way of the Master in Bellflower, California and has written a number of books. Comfort says that evangelism is the main reason the Christian Church exists and that many of the evangelistic methods used over the last century have produced false conversions to Christianity. Comfort often uses the Ten Commandments to speak about sin before presenting the gospel of Jesus. In the mid-1980s he formulated two sermons entitled "Hell's Best Kept Secret" and "True and False Conversions."

Militant Evangelism by Ray Comfort

Scripture(s): 1 Timothy 6:5-12, Galatians 6:14 There are 3 keys for an army to succeed: 1) it must know its objectives and the direction it's heading, 2) it must know its weapons, and 3) the power of prayer. "The Body of Christ," say Ray Comfort quoting Oswald J. Smith, "is not a pleasure cruiser on its way to heaven but a battleship stationed at the very gates of hell." The Christian has a 3-fold enemy--the world, the flesh, and the devil--to overcome through love and gratitude for the nail-pierced Savior, Jesus Christ.
