Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow

Every Sunday in the church I attended growing up, we sang the doxology after the offering was collected.
The organ hit the first note, and we all stood in unison and sang, Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
I never paid much attention to it’s meaning until I discovered that our word doxology comes from the Greek word, doxa, which we render glory.
Now, the root of this word means to think or apprehend.
Our hearts praise God and give him glory as a response to the truth we know about God.
So what do you know about God today?
Do you know that God is love, and that nothing can separate you from his love?
That’s truth that makes the heart sing praises to the King.
