"In this second day of the impeachment trial it's good to be reminded as Christians that we have the opportunity and are called to pray for our leaders. Paul encourages Timothy: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." 1 Timothy 2:1-3 * What does it mean to be "asleep in Christ" and that "the dead in Christ will rise first"? 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 * In John 5:25, is Jesus referring to unbelievers who acknowledge His call and believe? First, I thought He meant physically dead believers will live when we hear His voice. Is He talking about both? * What do you think of women preaching and being leaders in the church?
