Once we have overcome barriers to responding to God, how do we actually discern what God is saying? What does that look like practically? This week Jo and Steph share their stories, answering questions such as: What are some of the ways God has got your attention in the past? What role has community played in discerning God’s voice? What does it look like discerning God’s voice with your husband and kids? When were you first aware that you were hearing God? What does hearing God’s voice look like for you as a leader of a faith community? Are women more easily deceived so they need to be more careful in discerning what God’s saying? We say, God is always speaking. What does it look like to look for God’s voice out in the culture? Discussion questions: 1) Having listened to the podcast are there some fresh ways you can identity that God has spoken to you in the past that you didn’t previously recognize? 2) What does / could it look like for you to develop the spiritual muscle of discerning God’s voice in your life? 3) Do you find it easier to discern God’s voice in stillness or movement?
