Letter From Steve Dulin | April 2011 Hello everyone,At the April Habitation service, we learned that: 1) Love Is a Command and 2) Love Is a Decision. In Mark 12:30–31, Jesus told us the two greatest commandments: “‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these."God commands us to love because He is love and we are called to be like Him, conformed to the image of Christ. Love is a key to living the abundant Christian life. In order to love God, others and ourselves, we have to make a decision to love. Love is not an emotion; it is an act of the will. The good news is, actions follow decisions, and emotions follow actions. So, once you decide to love, your actions and emotions will follow.April Assignment
Your assignment this month is to choose to love God, others and yourself. Every day say, “Today, I choose to love God, I choose to love others, and I choose to love myself.” As you choose to love, you will find that your actions and emotions will follow.Ask yourself, “Where is my relationship with God, on a scale of 1–10 (with 10 being the greatest)?” Once you have determined a number for your level of love, look at what’s keeping you from getting to 10. Whatever is between your number and 10 is a competing affection or interest. To grow in your love for God, determine to eliminate all competing affections and interests. The Next Habitation Service The next Habitation service is Sunday, May 15. Join us for a special time of prayer and ministry in the Auditorium at 5:15 pm, and the service begins at 6:00 pm.After the last Habitation service, we received many testimonies about God healing people. At our next service, we will focus on healing, and we’ll have teaching, ministry, prophetic words and prayer for healing. As we hear God, believe God and obey God, we are expecting Him to show up and do some awesome things. We encourage you to come and bring those you know who are in need of healing.Thank you for being a part of what God is doing at Habitation. I look forward to seeing you at the next service.God Bless,Steve DulinFor more information, email habitation@gatewaypeople.com.
