Letter From Steve Dulin | July 2011 Hello everyone,At our July Habitation service, we did something unique. Our plan was to have no plan. We felt the Holy Spirit encouraging us to lay aside our ideas and allow Him to lead the service. So—with the full agreement of the leadership team—we heard God, we believed Him, and we obeyed Him. We opened the service with praise, followed by testimonies, prayer, ministry and worship. As we went deeper into the presence of God, the Holy Spirit showed up in some awesome ways. Many stated that they could actually feel the weight of His glory. Here is what a few attendees had to say: “Blown away by what God did tonight at the #Habitation service! Healing, wholeness, freedom, anointing … God showed up and showed off!” (Rachel, via Twitter)“The presence of God is thick tonight @GatewayPeople. I heart Habitation.” (Amber, via Twitter) “Nothing like having your world rocked by the presence of God at #Habitation. For those of you who were there, you know what I mean!” (Zac, via Twitter)“Habitation tonight blew my mind away! God’s presence was so prominent and the Holy Spirit filled the place with love, favor and blessings! Thank you all for an amazing time of worship.” (Raiza, via Facebook) “I watched (Habitation) online. Amazing service, amazing testimonies. God is ALIVE!!!” (Ana Maria, via Facebook)During the service, we shared some of the testimonies we have received. (Watch the Service) God has moved in some awesome ways—from healing people of Stage 4 cancer to setting people free from lifelong addictions. We encourage you to read the testimonies online. (Read Testimonies) If you have a testimony of how God has moved in your life through the Habitation services, please send it to us using our online form or email it to testimonies@gatewaypeople.com. Your testimonies are a great encouragement to us and to others in the body of Christ. July AssignmentYour assignment this month is to increase your personal anointing by seeking God through prayer and Bible study. Be willing to step out in faith as the Holy Spirit leads you in hearing, believing and obeying Him.Inquirer’s Meeting As a reminder for those who signed up, the Inquirer’s Meeting will be held on Monday, August 1, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Classroom 2D at Gateway Southlake. Children’s ministry will be available for birth to five years old. The Next Habitation ServiceThe next Habitation service is Sunday, August 21. We’ll have a special time of prayer and ministry in the Auditorium at 5:15 pm, and the service will begin at 6:00 pm. We’re excited to hear how people have experienced freedom and healing as they have encountered the presence of God at Habitation. If you’ve been joining us for the services at Southlake or online, thank you for your faithfulness. If you haven’t been able to attend, I want to personally invite you to join us for the next service. God is doing something awesome, and we’d love for you to be a part. Until then, I pray that God will move in your life in a mighty way as you hear Him, believe Him and obey Him.
