The news about the disaster in Houston and all along the Gulf Coast is heartbreaking. We all want to help in some way... if you are feeling led to help in some way, we encourage you to do it. Step out and find a way to be of help. This will be an ongoing need for quite some time. Many will assume that somehow this natural disaster is a punishment of some kind from God. That is faulty theology. Bob calls it a "contract theology". Some people believe what they do (or don't do) constitutes a contract to buy their way into Heaven. The Bible is very clear - it is the grace of God that saves us through Jesus Christ. Romans 8:19 "For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed."
