The Goal - Lesson 48

Grace is powerful and active. It is not passive or reactive in the least. It is Jesus Christ living his life in you. He saved you by grace through faith. And now by grace, he is perfecting that faith, bringing it to maturity. God is completing the work he began in each one of us. In John 16:33, Jesus says "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." It is in the trials of life that you learn that Jesus is enough. You learn that his grace is sufficient. (Chapter 14, page 105)
