The Subversive Hope

In this Advent season, we’re preparing our hearts and focusing our minds on celebrating Jesus’ birth. This week, we’re learning about the word “hope” and what it means for the Christmas season. We live between two Advents — Jesus coming to Earth as a baby, and Jesus one day returning as King. Dr. Ed Stetzer talks about the hope of the kingdom, the hope of the “already but not yet,” the hope we bear, and the hope of Christ. The best part is that this hope is not wishful thinking — it’s hope in a God who fulfills all his promises.
