The Union of Christ and You

Growing up in the south, sweet tea was the drink of choice.
My aunt Sarah made it the best.
While she brewed the tea in a boiler, she filled the bottom of a pitcher with several cups of sugar.
Once the tea reached a boil, she poured it in the pitcher.
With a little stirring, the tea and sugar fused together as one.
Now that doesn’t happen when you add sugar to iced tea.
The sugar settles at the bottom of the glass.
So to have real, southern style sweet tea, the two have to fuse together as one.
The same is true of Christianity.
To have the real thing a union has to take place.
You in Christ and Christ in you.
Here is the good news. It did the moment you believed.
