Unexpected Joy

In this Advent season, we’re preparing our hearts and focusing our minds on celebrating Jesus’ birth. This week, we’re learning about the word “joy” and what it means for the Christmas season. Joy is the primary emotion at Christmas — we see it on children’s faces, in our decorations, and in our songs. In this message, Pastor Buddy Owens will teach us that joy and happiness are not the same thing. You can be unhappy and joyful at the same time. Happiness is based on circumstances, but joy is the emotion of hope.
