Victory Over Temptation

In 1 John 2 the writer encourages young men: "I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one." In order to understand the truth of the Word of God, we need to rely upon the Holy Spirit to teach us the truth of His Word. Abide therefore in the Word and rest in Him. A caller shares how she overcomes temptation through submitting to God through prayer.Concerning being unequally yoked, a caller asked if there's any encouragement for her friend who is in that situation.Please help me to be sure that I understand Hebrews 7 regarding tithing.
